Teal equip "The Zone" for Wigan Council

‘The Zone’ is an innovative service for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex support needs.
Located within Robin Park leisure centre in Wigan, the vibrant and contemporary space has been further enhanced with bold and colourful seating in multiple styles, supplied by Teal.
Durable, rotationally moulded Roku® tables and chairs feature throughout. The sealed, six sided shape, with rounded corners and no sharp edges makes it difficult to pick up, with no protruding corners or areas for concealment, weighted to 50kg to limit misuse, while maximising safety. Constructed from one piece medium density polyethylene the design provides excellent impact strength and durability. The Zone also features ‘Astra’ recliner chairs and ‘Jetson’, a contemporary rocking chair with gentle, calming rocking motion for relieving tension - suitable for multiple areas including autism, learning disabilities and rehabilitation within therapy and sensory areas.
The interactive sensory room, where the support team work with people to understand their aspirations and support them to be healthy and happy has been equipped with Teal’s lightweight ‘Flex’ foam seating range, versatile modular foam seating, easily arranged to provide flexibility to this multi-use space.
