Designed and built by Optivo, ‘Nightingale Avenue’ is a newly-opened NHS keyworker housing facility, located on-site at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, part of an ambitious two-phase project with ‘Silverlands’ due to complete in 2024.
Built over three floors, Nightingale Avenue offers the very best in keyworker accommodation, provided in self-contained ‘cluster flats’ designed for between 2 and 4 person occupancy, with communal kitchen/diner and en-suite rooms. It also offers 1 bed self contained flats. And with space for 132 occupants the stylish new homes incorporate key design features developed specifically for Optivo, including bespoke wardrobes, desks and shelving, as well as seating, window dressings, white goods, mirrors and accessories supplied and installed by Teal HealthCare.
The Optivo team chose Teal as a design partner on this landmark project following a competitive tender to provide full FF&E, including furniture and household items. Optivo were determined to offer a full ‘step into home’ service, and felt this could be achieved with Teal’s best-in-class product and UK manufacturing expertise. Teal successfully delivered a high quality and flexible living environment, supporting Optivo’sdesign vision and ‘enhancing lives’ philosophy.
The overall design of the accommodation is contemporary, using modern materials and technology, perfectly suited to the large range of products and styles available from the Teal Key worker accommodation portfolio. Furniture and decor work in-line with Optivo’s ‘Keyworker Design Statement’ and colour choices, with a fresh colour palette and a mixture of modern seating, dining and bedroom spaces. Teal worked alongside the appointed contractor ‘United Living’ and provided full project management, delivery and installation throughout thisprestigious new build project.
