Teal Healthcare helps equip the spectacular new Liverpool Royal Hospital
The opening of the spectacular new Royal Liverpool University Hospital marks the beginning of a new era of healthcare in the city, helping the Trust to deliver world-class care for patients across the Liverpool City Region.
The state-of-the-art hospital will be the country’s largest facility to provide 100% single, en-suite accommodation for in-patients, specifically designed to improve the patient experience and enhance recovery.
Working directly with key stakeholders within the Royal Liverpool Procurement Team and with NHS Shared Business Services Teal provided a selection of specialist healthcare furniture throughout the new 640-bed facility, including ‘Cascade Plus’ – a bespoke extra-large bedside locker developed specifically for patients at the new Royal, providing easy, safe and secure care of patient valuables and medications. Staff and patients will also benefit from Teal’s specialist patient seating and recliners, together with ergonomically designed and comfortable seating for bariatric care.
The new Royal plays an important part in changing the way healthcare services are delivered across the city. Alongside Alder Hey and Clatterbridge Cancer Centre the new Liverpool Royal is the third facility to serve the people of Merseyside with 18 state-of-the-art operating theatres and critical care beds for patients in ICU and HDU.
