To meet both international standards and our own environmental targets we apply the three R's principle; Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Whilst recycling is the element which receives the most exposure it is actually the last option available.
It is our duty as individuals and as a company to initially attempt to Reduce usage. Then we should look to Reuse wherever possible and finally, only after these two processes have been exhausted should we consider Recycling.
We’re committed to sustainability, to environmental best practice throughout the business. Certified to ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System, Teal sources timber products from recognised and sustainably managed suppliers.
From progressive product design where we design out waste from the start of the process, making use of recycled materials and considering end of life product and packaging, to measuring each employees carbon footprint, our energy use and recycling. As a founder member of FISP (Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme), the Group is currently embarking on over 60 sustainability initiatives.
