Fiona Phillips gets to grips with Teal Furniture at the International Dementia Conference in York

Former GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips was a recent visitor to the teal show stand at "Facing the Future" the Dementia Services Development Centre's third International conference, which took place in York.

Fiona, commenting on the patient seating was very impressed with the Fleming (F55) and Durand (G55) models which were showcased on the stand, and asked why all hospitals and care homes treating dementia were not equipped with this type of furniture, given the level of comfort and affordability.

Fiona Phillips became a household name following 12 successful years at GMTV where she presented the morning show, resigning to support her 74 year old father, who was in the initial stages of early-onset Alzheimer's, the same type that had affected her mother, who was only in her late fifties when she was diagnosed with the disease.
