Jon Crawford

Astra Designer

"There's little use in a designer 'overseeing' a project like Astra - you need to be the coal face; building, experimenting, tweaking. Astra succeeds in balancing aethetics, comfort, mechanical strength and innovation" Jon Crawford.

Jon Crawford graduated in 2003 with first class honours in furniture design from Edinburgh College of Art. His hands-on and intuitive approach to design is underpinned by previous studies in mechanical engineering and a diploma in cabinet making and upholstery.

Best known for founding Isu(2006) - a bespoke furniture and upholstery company.

Jon joined Senator Group in 2010 and now designs exclusively for Teal, Allermuir and Senator.
